Baltimore's pretentious City Council President, Sheila Dixon (affectionately known as "Sheila the Shoe") is under continued investigation as State Officials remove several computers, records, etc from her former campain chairman whos company netted 500k in side governement work; without a contract of course.

In March, acting on a request from Rohrbaugh's office, a city grand jury issued subpoenas ordering city officials to turn over documents detailing how and why the city paid $600,000 to Clark for six years. For five of those years, Clark's company made $500,000 without a contract.

City procurement rules require that all contracts over $5,000 be approved by the five-member Board of Estimates, which is chaired by Dixon and includes Comptroller Joan M. Pratt, Mayor Martin O'Malley and two mayoral Cabinet members. The subpoenas demanded records from the council, O'Malley's finance department and the board, which oversees city spending.

Considering the former campain manager's company was being paid for a service that another company was completing under lawful contract .... I would conclude, there was some serious swindly poop afoot. This coming on the heels of another swindly poop investigation into the "Shoe's" rather odd voting for a contract to assist the company in which her sister was employed.

Of course the Mayor, Martin O'Malley, claims no knowledge of these dispicable pratices. I, for one, find that odd for a man known the world over to be an obnoxious micromanager from hell of all City services.

Detective Indicted on Rape Charge

Well it seems as though members of the BPD have a pinache for getting themselves into rather tricky spots. Some female member got herself jailed in Pa. for credit card fraud and another male member is indicted for rape. Hey! This on the heels of an entire squad in the SET being disbanded on complaints from ASAs that their charging documents read eerily alike...all the time.

Er, a member was rewarded for causing a 44 million dollar loss to the City with a spot in Homicide and the City Solicitor mentioned a "faux pas" regarding some court documents in a major discrimination suit against the PD. Seems the damn things got themselves mysteriously shredded.

What's in the cards for next week? Well, we hear that another fashionable female will be making the news in a few hours. We also hear some major changes will take place in the Homicide Unit (it seems some detectives can't detect).

Sunspotters would like to know what has happened to the "paid" Police Commissioner. He's missing, no sign of his presence. There are some of the opinion he has been assassinated by the Mayor ... others are of the opinion he has become a hermit. Yet a few are of the opinion the Commish has fallen prey to a stationhouse "horn-dog" and is undergoing psychiatric treatment.
